Have you ever tried crafting with an embroidery hoop??

I've seen so many different projects with an embroidery hoop and now I've got my own version. I picked up 2 different sizes from Walmart recently, a 6" and a 7.5". I chose the 7.5" for this project. The wood hearts and cute Valentine scrabble letters are from Hobby lobby. I grabbed a cute polka dot fabric from my craft stash and these fun ribbons I've used literally a million times.

I picked 3 of the smaller wooden hearts and painted them red, white and grey.

While those were drying, I put together the fabric on the hoop.

To get started take the hoop apart and place the smaller inside hoop down flat, then place your fabric over.

Now, take the big hoop and put around the small hoop.

Before you tighten the hoop all the way, I pulled it tight all the way around to get out all the wrinkles. Flip it over and cut off any excess fabric. When it is smooth and tight, tighten the embroidery hoop.

I hot glued my little painted hearts onto my hoop then glued the letters onto the fabric. The last thing I did was create a cute little bow and glued it to the top as well.

I wasn't sure if I plan to use this on my valentine tree or just a shelf. So, I tied a little twine to the top and made it hangable.

This turned out so cute and yep, I hung it right on my Valentine tree! Would be really cute to sit on a shelf or even a small version would be cute on a tiered tray. Tons of different ways to use!

Hope you enjoyed this project, I sure did!
