I am loving buffalo check EVERYTHING, so I've added it into my fall decor this year. I shared a few photos of little pops of it on my facebook page.
I realized though that I needed something on my mantle shelf in our living room. I saw something similar at a craft show last year so I thought I would try making my own version.
I started with 2 yards of black pom-pom trim from Hobby Lobby. Then, I picked up a few other colors of fabric in coordinating fall colors. Of course my main fabric was black & white. I could have used more fabrics to make each tie a little fuller.
First, I folded the 1/2 yard of fabric in half and cut it into approx. 1" strips. You don't have to worry about the cuts being exact, that's part of what makes this so cute. Continue to do the same with the other colors of fabric until
all are cut.
Next, lay out the black pom-pom trim. You will want to have a tie of ribbon about every 2 or 3 pom-poms. Take one strip of each fabric and tie on the trim. You can do this by making a simple knot or attach the fabric like a tie.
Continue this all the way across your trim.
I love it, so cute and so easy to make and it adds just the pop I needed. Hope you enjoyed this craft.

1/2 yard of multiple colors of fabric
